Beloved in Christ,
I have much appreciation and thanks to all for given me the time to fully embrace my retirement. While not effective until December 31, rest was needed as it brought energy to this traveled soul.
As Christmas draws near, we think of those in California who suffered from the devastating fires that claimed much, and those around the country who fell to the hands of Lawless and depraved murderers. We pray Gods mercy be with them all.
After missing last year due to residential transition, our Festival of 20.000 Lights returns. Pass by and have a look between 5:00 pm and Midnight each evening, (110 Oxford, FH) Thanksgiving to December 31st.
November 30, my beloved country of Barbados celebrates its 52nd birthday as we give thanks. Drop by 5:00 to 8:00 pm for a slice of cheese, a glass of Mauby (Barbados-Style) and a carton of eggnog.
Sunday, December 16, at Good-Shepherd, we present the Festival of Lessons and Carols at 5:00 pm. Join us December 23, 6:00 to 7:00 pm, for carol singing on the doors of 110 Oxford, surrounded by the Festival of 20,000 Lights of Christmas. Then, Christmas Eve Mass will begin at 6:30 pm on December 24, at Good Shepherd Cathedral.
As you surround the tree with gifts for everyone, remember to leave a gift for our Lord. After all, it's His birthday we are celebrating! Be safe, be happy, and may the blessings of God be with you!
