TODAY'S ARTICLE... > We Are Still Here

18 Sep 2018

Our website has been silent for the past 45 days and many have wondered why, we are still here and will always be  to promote God’s word.
We  have had many internal duties that called for our care.  Ministry is  meeting the needs of those placed in our spiritual care.
Within the ACW death in the last month has called at our door 5 times.  First our beloved webmaster, Mrs. Sue Thomas, lost her daughter Avis Lynn (54).   Rev Eddie Moore, lost his daughter Robin (46).  And now a child raised in Good Shepherd, Ariel Perkins (20), was tragically killed in a car accident.  It is all very devastating, almost more than we can  bear; thus, in this time of our absence it is the care to them we served. In all this the ACW stood as a family. It has been a  busy unwanted painful time.
*Our Provost & Bishop-Elect will be consecrated in November and will take the charge of Presiding bishop January 1, 2019.

***Our brother Bishop Edwin Tompkins has move to a new jurisdiction
*St Mary’s ACW has been opened in New Mexico
*St Phillips' ACW has been re-activated in Hollywood, Florida
A wonderful gift of a home was donated in Florida to the ACW
For the second year, through a benefactor, a substantial gift will be given to the St. Jude’s Children Hospital (September 30)
As we recover  from  the past month we will fully return in October.
While church planting remains our goal, our resources now will be reaching out to those in need, 60% of our 2019 budget will be earmarked to this.
