This weekend, by the generosity of the Bank of Edwardsville, I handed out forty-six $2.00 bills with the thought 'MAY GOD WATCH OVER YOU' If you have met me, you too should have one in your wallet or purse. In the last 8 years I've given out over 1000, $2.00 bills. DON’T FORGET ME
An 82 year old friend whom I met many years ago, now retired living with family, is not able to do anything without assistance. It pains me to see a woman who was so active as a Nurse now confined and praying for attention.
IN MASS AT Good-Shepherd on Sunday, His Grace Bishop Charles Connor encouraged us to be strong. He also urged me not to retire. His thought was well received; however, our resolve stands and we shall press forward, its time to rest November 4th. This duty officially ends December 31, 2018 but we will continue in service to the church as long as I reside among you.
Remember St. Jude's Children Hospital in Memphis Tennessee. As we did in September 2017 the ACW will do so again in November 2018, via a benefactor, in the name of or beloved Mentor Archbishop Wilfred Portier.
DON'T FORGET THE SUFFERING CHILDREN
Saying “HELLO”, a 5 letter word, to someone you may or may not know could save a life.
FELOWSHIP IS THE KEY TO HAPPINESS
It does not matter where you go to church, but open your heart to do so. Our God loves for you to be in his house. PAY HIM A VISIT, HE LOVES GUEST
Call a family MEMBER/FRIEND you have not spoken to in years. Do not wait for a funeral to say nice things where a trumpeter plays “taps” afterwards. They cannot hear you then.
HOLD ON TO FAMILY/FRIENDS THEY ARE YOUR GREATEST RESOURCE
Pastor prepare your sermons to give spiritual guidance. Try not to speak on things not understandable or that do not met the needs of your congregation. Your people always come first.
PREACH THE WORD
Retirement draws nigh, greet our new presiding Bishop James with a word of welcome at email@example.com
Although retired, I’ll always be with you. I love you all.
In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen
